Over nearly a decade at Nokia, I contributed to the design of some of its most iconic mobile devices while working across Helsinki, Copenhagen, and Los Angeles. As a Lead Industrial Designer, I played a key role in shaping products like the Nokia Lumia 900, 6600 Slide, and 8800 Sirocco Edition, blending innovative form, premium materials, and seamless user experiences.
I worked closely with engineering, UX, and marketing teams to push the boundaries of mobile design while ensuring manufacturability and market success. My contributions extended beyond individual products to materials and CMF innovation, leading to patents and industry recognition.
Designing small-scale consumer electronics like mobile phones taught me to pay relentless attention to even the smallest details, where every millimeter and material choice impacts the user experience. Countless trips to China to meet OEMs and vendors, working alongside technical and creative teams during product builds, provided invaluable hands-on experience with various manufacturing methods and mass production. This immersive exposure reinforced my ability to bridge design vision with real-world execution, ensuring a balance between aesthetics, engineering constraints, and production feasibility.
